Behaviour Consultation
A behaviour consultation is ideal for you if your dog shows signs of fear, aggression, excessive behaviours, or issues such as separation anxiety and resource guarding. Do you want to better understand and sustainably change your dog's behaviour? Together, we will find individual solutions for a harmonious relationship.
Why Behaviour Consultation
If your dog displays fear or aggressive behaviour, it can be challenging to effectively address these issues in a group session. Often, a single training session is not enough to explore the root causes of your dog's behaviour and to understand why they exhibit certain actions.
Behaviour always has a cause; it does not arise in a vacuum.
A behaviour consultation is the right choice for you if you need support with the following issues:
-
Aggressive behaviour towards people
-
Aggressive behaviour towards other dogs
-
Stereotypical or excessive behaviours
-
Self-destructive behaviour
-
Resource guarding (e.g., resting places, food, toys)
-
General anxieties
-
Separation anxiety
-
Leash aggression
A central component of behaviour therapy is functional behaviour analysis. This method aims to identify the specific triggers and functions of the behaviour.
It analyses the situations and contexts in which unwanted behaviour occurs, in order to develop tailored solutions.
Functional behaviour analysis considers not only the behaviour itself but also the environment, emotions, and the interactions between you and your dog.

I help you and your dog
Although we may not always be able to completely eliminate unwanted behaviour, we will work together to find a solution that works for you and your dog.
There is always a way and you're not alone with your problem. Let's work together to understand the causes of your dog's behaviour and make positive changes.

The PROCESS
What can you expect from a behavioural counselling session?
01
Assessment and Getting to Know Each Other
You will fill out a questionnaire, and together we will decide where our first meeting will take place (at your home, in a public place, or via Zoom).
03
Behavioural Causes
We will discuss the possible causes of your dog's behaviour.
02
Behaviour Analysis
We will take a close look at your current situation and your dog's behaviour.
04
Individual Training Plan
We will develop a plan for how we can work together on your dog's behaviour and what steps are necessary to achieve your goals.
Effective Behaviour Therapy: Patience, Training, and Individual Solutions
Behaviour changes take time and patience, especially in complex cases. Together with your dog, you will receive practical tasks that should be implemented consistently. Depending on the situation, the advice of a veterinarian or a behaviour specialist may also be necessary. The duration of therapy varies: sometimes, small adjustments in daily life are sufficient, while in other cases, more intensive support is required.
Whoever says that reliable behaviour in this or that dog cannot be achieved without punishment is not talking about the dog; they are first and foremost describing their own abilities.
